Girls explore STEM opportunities at Brownie Day

About 75 Tulsa-area Girl Scout Brownies visited campus for TU’s annual Brownie Day on April 11.

Post-BrownieDay-2015The College of Engineering and Natural Sciences has hosted the event for the past 20 years to encourage young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The Brownies learn about opportunities in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, chemistry, mechanical engineering and the Engineers Without Borders organization through STEM demonstrations and experiments conducted by TU students and faculty.

This year’s event was organized by students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
