TU ranked top petroleum engineering program in Oklahoma

The University of Tulsa McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering is ranked No. 4 in undergraduate petroleum engineering programs, according to the 2017 U.S. News and World Report Best College Rankings. The list features universities where the highest engineering degree offered is a doctorate.

petroleum engineeringTU is home to the top-rated petroleum program in the state, which specializes in three areas: drilling, production and reservoir engineering. Students are exposed to all phases of development, exploration, drilling, production and management of oil and natural gas resources. TU facilities feature a state-of-the-art drilling simulator in Stephenson Hall and more than 10 research consortia at TU’s historic North Campus where students work with faculty on industry projects.

The McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering is TU’s largest school and attracts students from around the world. TU ranks fourth best behind the petroleum engineering programs of No. 1 University of Texas-Austin, No. 2 Texas A&M University-College Station and No. 3 Colorado School of Mines.
