TU Shark Tank Kick Start program research grants awarded to College of Engineering and Natural Sciences faculty

Faculty win TU Shark Tank Kick Start program research grants

Three faculty from the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences have been awarded $5,000 grants from the TU Shark Tank Kick Start program to create or advance academic research projects across campus.

Faculty finalists presented five-minutes pitches about their research in front of a live audience. Assistant professors from all colleges were welcome to apply. TU Shark Tank Kick Start program winners from the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences included:

Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering
Project title: Investigating the Direct Liquefaction of Green Coal (or Biochar) as a Feedstock for Specialty Chemicals and/or Transportation Fuels
